bill Preeper ~ BIO
Bill Preeper has been very content playing folk songs in kitchens, coffee houses and benefits for the last forty years while working a day job at CBC and raising a family with his wife Kathy. In recent years, having more time to concentrate on music, he has become more active as a member of the group Bonnett House in which he sings, plays acoustic and electric guitars and shares song writing with Clinton Charlton and Sandy MacKay. The group expands to as many as six members with the addition of Grant Heckman, Jessica Rhaye and Tim Davidson for live performances.
While Bonnett House remains his main focus, Bill has also been playing in Preeper Rhaye MacKay - a trio with Sandy MacKay and Jessica Rhaye - and always looks forward to playing with even more musical friends at events such as the annual Bob Dylan tribute organized by Brent Mason.
As much as Bill loves playing in a band, his roots are in acoustic guitar and songs. Playing solo is a little out of Bill’s comfort zone but it gives him a chance to get back to just a guitar and a voice – the musical form that inspired him in the first place.
