Clinton Charlton is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His solo releases include "These Stars We See...Are Never Gonna Fall" (2006) and "Parade" (2009) which received airplay on CBC and numerous college stations.
Clinton was a finalist in the CBC Galaxie Rising Star Competition, a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and is a multiple award winner and nominee in the Saint John Music Awards and Music New Brunswick Awards.
In 2011 Charlton launched a songwriting project January Through December, where he writes, records and releases a new song monthly.
As well as a solo singer-songwriter, Charlton holds attendance in several local bands, such as Penny Blacks and Jessica Rhaye and has performed on numerous album projects for artists including 'Harbour' and 'Long Lights' (Penny Blacks), upcoming albums from Debbie Adshade, The Bokays, The Morticia Project, and his debut with Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade and folk trio Bonnett House.
This year Charlton has put his music back in the forefront with the revival of his January Through December project and has been busy working on his next full-length album “Ghost Writer” for a tentative fall 2019 release.
To date Charlton has contributed to over 40 releases
